Cindy Tsai was born in Taiwan and raised in Auckland. She graduated from the class of 2006 and obtained her Bachelors of Optometry degree with therapeutics endorsement at the University of Auckland in 2007. With the will of going beyond 20/20 and providing the best possible service to the general public, she challenges herself constantly and actively attends further educations from time to time. Her aim has always been the same – to go beyond the ordinary and give more to the public than general optometry. In December 2007, she obtained further license to become a credentialed optometrist in CAA pilot vision and is still actively carrying out auditing exams for pilots today. She has also obtained a license to offer her service to children who require eye exams via Enable NZ. As she has a special interest in vision beyond the eyeball and loves looking at every aspect of how our vision and brain work, she has developed an interest in Neural Developmental Optometry and becomes the one and only behavioural optometrist in Central Auckland offering both Vision Therapy and Irlen assessments.
Cindy’s services include contact lens fitting, dry eye treatment, red eye management, evaluations for diabetic eye related disease, cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and many other eye diseases as well as ocular nutrition therapies. She specializes in customising visual solutions for occupational needs and recreational needs, computer vision syndrome, slowing down progression of myopia and stress-related vision problems.
